Remember old fashioned ice cream parlors? Remember milkshakes, malts, ice cream sodas, egg creams, sundaes, banana splits made with real hand dipped ice cream? Remember soda fountains, marble topped tables? Well Southern Sweets has brought it all to life. Founded in October of 2001 by Marilyn & Jack Sheehy, we serve all the old soda fountain favorites plus fudge, homemade brownies and pralines. After much coaxing by friends & customers alike, Marilyn's Lunch was born in February of 2006. We offer a unique menu of fresh, homemade soups--Don't miss Marilyn's Shrimp & Sausage Gumbo--, salads, sandwiches & wraps, and good old fashioned hot dogs, all with a Southern flair. Marilyn's Lunch has become popular with locals and tourists alike.
